
Our team provides a confidential and supportive environment for individuals who require one-on-one support and guidance with decluttering and organising of personal belongings, or skill development in domestic tasks.
We use a person- centred approach. Les has worked in the field of mental health, and alcohol and drug abuse, and has a background in community aged care and palliative care. Henriett is a qualified counselor. Building on this background, we strive to provide a non-judgemental, caring and understanding environment to ensure our clients are given the opportunity to participate fully and meaningfully in all sessions.
Our team members are highly qualified, experienced in community aged care services and the mental health field. We collaborate with families, social workers, guardians, executors as well as community and government agencies. We work with a number of agencies such as the NSW Trustee and Guardian, NSW Health, Aftercare, Catholic Community Services, Community Mental Health Teams, Family and Community Services, Katoomba Neighbourhood Centre, Mission Australia, Benevolent Society, Neami, Flourish, Partners in Recovery, Wesley Mission as well as private businesses. We are also part of the Blue Mountains Domestic Hoarding and Squalor Working Party.
Our services include onsite meeting with the client, family and/or support worker, sorting personal belongings, relocating possessions, disposal of unwanted items, cleaning and sanitising.

Metro Cleaning and Maintenance provides person centred services to participants by developing a positive relationship with the client, understanding the client’s personal needs and aspirations.
We facilitate the learning and maintenance of skills, which often involves doing daily tasks with the person to ensure they feel safe and secure, and supporting them until they feel comfortable doing the tasks on their own.
We recognise that a trusting and respectful relationship with the client is fundamental to the development of skills required for daily life and independent living.
We provide the opportunity to clients to participate in making decision in relation to the service they receive.
This includes the provision of supports to enable the participant to maintain their home environment.
Involves undertaking essential household tasks that the participant is not able to undertake. Household tasks can include:
- Housecleaning and similar tasks.
- Meal planning, preparation and cooking.
- Banking and shopping.
- Home and yard maintenance Individualised training/skill development in domestic tasks.
Guide, prompt, or undertake activities to ensure the participant obtains/retains appropriate accommodation, including specialist tenancy support services where no other tenancy support option is available.
